Warwick’s girls swim team relies on Hayden Eby to compete in a full schedule of events — 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard medley, and a relay team. Hayden sees her role this season to help in developing teamwork for a young team of just 2 seniors.
Individually, Hayden wants to make this year her best. She previously qualified for the District 3 meets as a sophomore and junior. This year she wants to make the District podium.
Ya’Majesty Washington, Warwick High School, senior guard
When did you first get a basketball in your hands, and what has the journey been like since then?
Washington: “When I was 7. Ever since then I just fell in love with it. Then eighth grade I had a really good year. Coach saw it and when I was a freshman he moved me up to varsity.”
What player do you look up to?
Warwick's girls volleyball team had the satisfaction a year ago of winning a first-round game in the league playoffs, but the Warriors barely missing out on the District 3 playoffs is adding to motivation for this year.

"I think we're always motivated," says Burr. "Us in particular. We want it. We want it more than any year."
When veteran Warwick coach Bob Locker looks at his squad for 2025, he sees a team featuring nearly a dozen new starters.
But he also sees a glass that’s half-full with a slew of returning starters and some solid senior leadership.
We don't know what size Tyler Miller is at the clothing store, but on the bowling lanes he's a 12X.
Miller, a Warwick High School senior, rolled a perfect game of 12 strikes during qualifying before claiming the 2021 Lancaster-Lebanon League individual bowling championship. He also had a 289 game during qualifying.
"When I got to the second round, I really was confident," Miller told Philip Glatfelter of LNP | LancasterOnline. "I switched balls ... and I ended up bowling really insane."
